We will learn more about how God reveals Himself in Genesis, of the breadth and depth of His goodness. We will learn the language of the world today and how we should not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We will look at what the James Webb Telescope is revealing about the universe and look at genetics, fossils, and early technology. The Acts of the Apostles – Luke Volume 2

Roger Hill
Room 237 ABCD
In-Person Only

The book of Acts is the only “sequel” to the gospels. Dr. Luke, in his Gospel, gives us the 33 years of Jesus’ life, and then in Acts, he gives us the account of the next approximately 30 years, showing us the spread and growth of the early church. The book of Acts is also a necessary bridge linking the gospels and the epistles. In this class, we will not only see the account of the early church but also see the validation of the Apostles and their epistles.

The Gospel of Matthew: The Sermon on the Mount

Baker Smith and Huck Whitener
Room 234
In-Person or Online

Christ’s Sermon on the Mount was directed to his disciples on how to think and act like a Christian. Likewise, Christ’s Great Commission ordered his followers to make disciples and teach them to obey everything he had commanded. When Jesus calls us by his grace from the kingdom of darkness to his kingdom, he commands us to live our lives to give glory to God and to draw others to Christ. As we respond to his teaching, Jesus promises us that we will be like the wise man who built his house on the rock and will be able to withstand any storm without falling. As doers of God’s word, we not only become more conformed to the image of his Son but receive blessings overflowing with blessings. Please join us for this exciting study as you strengthen your confidence and assurance of victory in Christ.

The Book of Romans – Are You Saved?

Andrew Bradley
Room 612-613
In-Person or Online

What does it mean to be saved? The Apostle Paul delves deep into the question of salvation in the Book of Romans. Luther wrestled with this very question. He did not see how anyone could be holy enough to be accepted by God. Luther found no peace until the Lord revealed from Romans what it meant to be saved. Romans 1:17 says, “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.'” It was not until Luther understood what the Apostle Paul was saying from Romans that he found peace. The Book of Romans is the greatest treatise on salvation ever written. As we study Romans, we will gain an in-depth understanding of what it means to be saved and how we are to live in light of what Christ has done for us.
