Congregational Care describes what is distinctive about the church of Jesus Christ. As we grow in God’s love, we learn that such love compels us to care for each other much as family members care for each other.
The purpose of Congregational Care is to extend the reach of the Rector to care for all our members as Christ would for His own, both by ministering to them and teaching them to minister to one an other. In addition to providing marriage preparation, counseling, regular visitation and instruction in the Christian walk, we also direct several specialized ministries within the church including Stephen Ministry, DivorceCare, GriefShare, and Living Waters.

Hope and Healing Class
6 Weeks | Sundays 9:15 A.M. | April 15-May 20th.
Choices and circumstances create opportunities and in some cases circumstances. We tend to deal with things independently missing out on the life-giving nature of relationship with God, ourselves, and others. Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and Preventable death are all areas where we tend to “fight” alone, but where life hurts God does in fact heal. During this six-week class we are going to unpack these topics in hopes of better understanding our struggles and inviting God to direct us along pathways of peace.
Open to anyone.

Individual Counseling (Men and Women, Couples)
Stephen Ministers are trained to work with people who are experiencing a wide range of life crises, such as marriage and family conflict, job loss, financial problems, grief, illness, faith challenges, and discouragement. Stephen Ministers are not counselors but Christian friends who meet with their care receivers weekly to provide one-to-one support and prayer. These relationships are Christ-centered and focus on the healing power of Jesus Christ in our lives. They are confidential and last as long as there is a need. Each relationship is designed to meet the specific needs of the care receiver, whether for long or short-term care.
* You do not have to be a member of Apostles to have a Stephen Minister.
If you are currently facing a difficult situation and could benefit from the presence of a dependable, caring, Christian friend to listen to you and walk with you, please call one of our referral coordinators: Rebecca Wise (404-783-2608) or John Wise (678-358-5701).
GraceTouch Meals shares the grace and love of our Lord by providing a meal and a personal contact to those in our midst in need of refreshment, care, and encouragement. You may:
- Cook meals to be taken to families who have a need.
- Cook meals to bring to church to be put in the freezer for emergency help.
- Deliver meals to the families.
Prayer Ministry involves the expansion of God’s Kingdom through intercession for others. Intercessors may come to the church during the week and pray for the requests that have been received, or they may receive requests via email at home.
Ushers serve once a month during the 9:00 or 10:30 services. This includes, passing out the bulletin, helping people get seated, taking up the offering, etc.
