Children’s Ministry | Health and Safety Protocols

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

  • All families are required to register EACH child for EACH Sunday and EACH hour they plan to attend so that we can pre-assign children to classes.
  • All children will have temperatures checked upon check in through a touchless system.
  • All staff, volunteers, and caregivers will be screened on arrival (temperature check, COVID questions) and required to wear a face covering and implement safety procedures.
  • When traveling through the common areas dropping off and picking up your child(ren), we ask that parents wear a face shield or mouth covering.
  • Hand sanitizer, soap and water will be provided in each classroom for frequent hand cleaning.
  • Supplies (crayons, etc.) will be pre-apportioned for each child so children do not share supplies.
  • Children will be led to physically distance throughout the morning.
  • All rooms are professionally cleaned and thoroughly sanitized before and after each use.
  • Class sizes will be limited to six to eight children and two adult teachers.
  • No outside food or beverages allowed.

NURSERY – INFANT THROUGH THREES

  • All toys are washed and sanitized each week.
  • Diaper changing stations are cleaned thoroughly between each diaper change.
  • Check in at the Children’s Ministry Kiosk, then proceed with your child(ren) to their assigned classrooms.
  • Diaper changing stations are cleaned thoroughly between each diaper change.
  • Pick up your child(ren) in their assigned classroom.
  • Parents must exit on the nursery hall by the infant room and out the double doors towards the Sanctuary balcony.

PRESCHOOL – FOURS AND KINDERGARTEN

  • For the 9:00 a.m. hour, check in at the Children’s Ministry Kiosk, then proceed with your child to the Preschool Chapel (310).
  • All children who are five must be picked up here BY 10:20 a.m. Kindergarteners (children who are five) will attend family worship with their parents at 10:30 a.m.
  • If you registered your four year old for BOTH the 9:00 a.m. AND the 10:30 a.m. hours that week, he or she will be escorted to a 10:30 a.m. classroom (room 302 or 303) by a staff member.
  • If your four year old is only attending the 10:30 a.m. hour, check in at the Children’s Ministry Kiosk, then proceed with your child to his or her assigned classroom (room 302 or 303).
  • Pick up your four year old at his or her assigned classroom at 12:00 p.m.

ELEMENTARY – 1st THROUGH 5th GRADE

  • Check in at the STS atrium on the street level (opens at 8:45 a.m.).
  • Parents must accompany their 1st-5th graders for check in.
  • Elementary will meet at 9:00 a.m. only.
  • Children will be spaced apart at tables in the gym for Bible teaching.
  • Children are asked to wear their space (face) shields while moving through the building and to their individual small group classrooms.
  • Children must be picked up BY 10:20 in their assigned small group rooms on the main floor.
