November 25, 2025
It has been an honor serving as Church Treasurer this year, and I have been so encouraged by the faithfulness of the Lord in providing for all the church’s needs.
God has always had a model of His people giving a portion of their incomes back to Him as an act of faith, obedience, and worship. We can see the concept of tithing all the way back in Genesis and throughout the Old Testament. Jesus commended this practice in the Gospels, and we see Christians in the early church giving to advance the work of the apostles. Much of what the New Testament says about money reminds us that giving is not a means to earn God’s approval. Rather, it is an issue of the heart with a high calling to give generously.
Each year, we ask our members to prayerfully consider what they will give in the upcoming year and provide an anonymous pledge to the church. This exercise presents an opportunity for you and your family to have a spiritual discussion about your finances, examine your own hearts, and see if there needs to be any alignment with what the Bible teaches on this matter. It also helps our church administrative team properly plan for the months ahead.
Enclosed with this letter is the pledge card for 2026. On Sunday, December 14, we will collect the anonymous pledge cards during the service. If you cannot attend that Sunday, please take the time to either mail in your card or submit it online at apostles.org/pledge.
We will continue to look to God to provide all we need, and we pray that you will participate with us as we advance the work of His Kingdom.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows” (Malachi 3:10).
Sincerely,

Tom Wilkes
Church Treasurer
