Esther – Joy of Living
If you know the book, you probably think “for such a time as this.” True enough—but there is so much more to appreciate. Orphan, exile, religious and racial minority, dutiful adopted daughter, reluctant Miss Persia pageant winner, harem resident, wife of despotic megalomaniac—she was a courageous woman of God. Esther’s story shines the spotlight on her great God, although He’s never mentioned once. Charming and elegant, diligent and disciplined, modest and genuine, deeply committed in her faith…we have so much to learn from her—“for such a time as this,” indeed.
This is an inductive, 7-lesson, expository study. There are simple, daily homework questions, group discussions, and teaching. Serendipitous lunch and fellowship often follow.
Please consider yourself warmly invited; you’ll be finished before Spring break!
