Hour of Power

Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer…” and here at Church of the Apostles we believe that. Every Wednesday night from 6:15-7:15 the Hour of Power provides a space for people to gather for a powerful time of worship through prayer and praise.

“There is something that happens when God’s people gather together in unity for the specific purpose of seeking his glory and its manifestation,” says Dr. Youssef. “And we have seen the power of God working in the lives of so many people as we gather to praise and pray in the name of the Lord.”

The hour is broken up into a half hour of praise and a half hour of prayer and it’s a time no one should miss, according to Dr. Youssef.

We believe it is the power of God working in us and we receive that in prayer and surrender to Christ.

“I can’t imagine the church without the Hour of Power because that is the power that comes and strengthens the church and all the ministries that come from the church,” he says. “We believe it is the power of God working in us and we receive that in prayer and surrender to Christ.”

The belief that we cannot witness and reach out in our own strength is what fuels this time together. The Hour of Power presents an opportunity to do that corporately

This time in the word, prayer and praise together is sacred. It is an unrushed hour of encouragement and prayer for the world, our city and our people. You don’t want to miss it!
