The Hub // Tuesdays
Tuesday Mornings | The Commons | 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. (6:45 a.m. Breakfast)
Men, join us at The Hub to be:
As men, we all want to make a difference at home, at work, and in all areas of our lives. But, sometimes, we get stuck. The Hub is designed for men of all ages to be equipped, encouraged, and empowered for real change.
Join us for a complimentary light breakfast, challenging teaching, and interactive discussion around the tables. You’ll leave differently than when you came.
To find out more about The Hub, contact Jeff Falkowski at jfalkowski@apostles.org.
DivorceCare // Tuesdays
Many people will tell you that their marriage ending was the most painful, confusing, and stressful experience they’ve ever faced. Don’t go through it alone. DivorceCare’s life-changing support groups welcome people and guide them on the path of recovery after separation or divorce. Over 1 million people have found comfort and hope through this 13-week, video-based series that offers helpful counsel for your emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making. The class will meet on Tuesday evenings with video, teaching, and small group discussion facilitated by Evelyn Dodd and Kimm Hill.
GriefShare // Tuesdays
Grieving the loss of a loved one, whether recently or in the past, is an emotionally wrenching experience. With over 25 years of helping people find comfort, GriefShare is a safe, welcoming place where the difficult emotions of grief may be shared and eventually understood. During this 13-week support group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what “normal” looks like when experiencing grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, through encouraging videos and small group discussions, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support for each step of the way.
Women’s Coffee & Community Pop-Up // January 18
Becoming a Woman of God and Maturing in Our Faith
Think of a woman in the church (any church) you admire. People may say of her, “She has a mature faith.” She may be a woman who is widely recognized, or she may be a beautiful, humble, behind-the-scenes servant. If you aspire to be a woman of the church like that, Coffee & Community offers advice and exhortation from Titus 2, 1 Peter 3, and Proverbs 31 to help you fulfill God’s plan for you. You became a woman of God the day you accepted His gift of salvation. Becoming a woman who fully and richly lives out her life as a woman of the church usually takes more time.
One of the most delicious earthly experiences is diving into the Word with an old or new friend. Coffee & Community is a morning set aside for women to gather and share the Word together. Join us and get to know the women at your table as you study more about maturing in your faith.
You are invited to escape with other women for a morning of fun, fellowship, prayer, and sharing. Put on your sweats or other comfy clothes and join us for Coffee & Community. Breakfast, snacks, tea, and coffee will be served while we work and fellowship.
First Look Luncheon // January 26
The First Look Luncheon is for anyone desiring to know more about The Church of The Apostles.
You will also be introduced to our ministry leadership team and hear how being an active part of the church body will help you grow, be known, be served, be equipped to bless others, and build lasting friendships.
Whether you are just curious or ready to pursue membership, First Look is for you.
If you have questions, please contact Mary O’Brien at 404-564-6688 or membership@apostles.org.
From Prostitution to Privilege: Rahab // February 15
Come and learn about Rahab—the only woman included in Hebrews 11, ‘the Hall of Faith’ chapter. Rahab’s faith was based upon the fear of God, and led to her willingness to forsake all she knew for the only firm foundation. It provided freedom for herself and her family, and it took her from a prostitute to a position of privilege. We will be encouraged by her faith and learn how we, too, can live fearless, fruitful lives.
Breakfast will be provided.
Led by Julie Van Gorp
Women’s Retreat: Wild Faith // March 13-15
When pressure, persecution, and challenges occur, how do we persevere and, in faith, walk forward, yielding and depending on God? Living a life of Wild Faith is the narrow path because it can go against what culture says, what our nature says, and sometimes goes against what other believers say.
What does Wild Faith entail? Listening to what God calls each of us to, surrendering our will, and stepping out to say YES to His call.

Young Adults on the Square // January 9
Young Adults on the Square is an exciting new monthly event that will begin in January 2025. We will meet on the second Thursday of every month at Boxwood Social Hall on the Marietta square.
It is specifically designed as a community gathering for all young adults interested in great food, making new friends, live music from various local artists, and a compelling biblical message given by different church leaders in the area.
This is a multi-church event. Numerous churches in the area will participate. Meeting at a neutral site rather than a church makes it much easier to invite someone who does not attend church but might be interested in meeting other young adults who do and learning about what Christians believe.
Kickoff Event: Thursday, January 9, 2025
No sign-up, just show up!
2nd Thursday (Monthly)
6:30 p.m. Dinner (no charge)
8:00 – 9:00 p.m. Worship & Teaching

Living Waters is about finding a way to admit brokenness, digging deep to understand why we are broken, and finally accepting the fact that the only way to wholeness is by discovering the healing power of a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Congratulations to Matt and Becky Anderson on the birth of their daughter, Emily Rose Anderson, on August 12, 2024.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to Debby Santi and her family in the death of her husband, David Santi, on December 23, 2024. The memorial service will be at The Church of The Apostles at a later date.
The alter flowers are placed in loving memory of John Gillespie by his widow, Vicki Gillespie.
Today marks one year since we delivered our second born son Isaac Andrew Nolan (8 lb 15 oz, 22.75″ long). On July 14, 2023 at 1:15 p.m., he was born asleep and already at peace playing at Jesus’ feet in heaven.
We feel that God gave Isaac’s father David the name “Isaac” years prior to prepare our hearts for the moment when we would learn of his loss in utero, full-term at 41 weeks of gestation. Because Isaac’s name means “the one who laughs and rejoices,” we see it as a gift of comfort from the Lord who ordained for us to know that our son’s very first sight was Jesus’ face, full of laughter and joy. As a result, we associate our boy with giggles, cheer, play, dancing, light-heartedness, and eternal worship of our heavenly Father, the likes of which we cannot fathom here on Earth.
We weep, we ache, we pray, we praise, we wrestle, we question, we marvel, and we mourn, but ultimately we trust the Lord in all things.
Our beautiful son is happy and peaceful, while praising our Father for eternity. We yearn for the day when we will be right there with him, taking in our Savior in all His Glory. These cheerful, yellow flowers signify both our remembrance of Isaac and our confidence in God’s promise to believers. Family, friends, prayer warriors, and spiritual leaders, know that the Nolans believe fervently in the goodness of God, and we invite you into that posture with us. Lord, please accept the tears that we shed today as our sincere worship of You.
Love, David and Lauren Nolan
