We have multiple ways you can serve through Apostles this Christmas!

The Holy Not Yet (December 10) : Apostles Worship’s newest song, The Holy Not Yet, is available everywhere you listen to music.
As we step into Advent, our prayer is that this song anchors you in the finished work of Jesus — and stirs hope for all that is still to come.

Come and Lift Your Head Up (December 17): Apostles Worship’s next release, Come and Lift Your Head Up, will be available on December 17th wherever you listen to music.

Drawn from the hope-filled words of Psalm 24, this Advent song invites us to lift our heads in expectation and celebrate the coming Messiah.

It’s time to prayerfully consider our commitment to funding the church’s budget for 2026. This is a great opportunity for every member and family to examine their finances and align with scriptural guidance in our giving to the church.

Children’s Christmas Program – “Sing to the King”

Sunday, December 14 | 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening, followed by a time of games and activities.

STS kids rehearse from 5:30-6:00 p.m. in Room 420.
Elementary students rehearse from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in Room 420.
Preschool rehearses from 6:45-7:15 p.m. in the Preschool Chapel.

On Sunday, December 14th, we hope the whole church will join us for a special time of worship with our students and children, called “Sing to The King” at 4:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Please arrive early at 4:00 p.m. to get your seats.

If you would like to have Christmas flowers placed in the sanctuary on Christmas Eve in memory or in honor of your loved ones, please use the link below.

The deadline for submissions is December 17.

Give the Gift of Hope through Service

Kidz2Leaders is a local ministry that exists to provide stability, opportunity, and a Christian community to children with incarcerated parents.

Every year we invite the families in our program to Hope4Christmas, a celebration of Christ’s birth, where they are served a meal, play games and enjoy connection, spend time in worship, and hear a gospel message of hope.

In order for this event to be successful, we need your help along with about 300 other people! You can sign up here to:

  • Prepare for the event by wrapping gifts and writing cards and/or prepping and setting up for the event
  • Serve the day of Hope4Christmas at one of two sessions

December 24
3:00 & 5:00 p.m.

We invite you, your friends, and loved ones to join us for two special services. Celebrate Christmas Eve with us on Wednesday, December 24th, for an unforgettable evening featuring selections from Handel’s Messiah performed by a choir and orchestra, along with special guest vocalist, Timothy Miller, and carols by the Apostles Worship Team. Dr. Michael Youssef will share an inspiring message on the birth of Jesus.

With over 25 years of helping people find comfort, GriefShare is a safe and welcoming place where the difficult emotions of grief can be shared and eventually understood.

During this 13-week support group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what “normal” looks like when experiencing grief. That Your Joy May be Full
Led by Casey Hawley

Overwhelmingly, the message in John’s letters to believers is joy! And who would know better than John? John lived and worked in close proximity to Jesus throughout the years of his ministry, and the Lord’s presence surrounded him. Do you want to know more about the love that is in every believer, placed there to brim to the top and spill over to others? Come study 1 John with us and enjoy a morning of fellowship.

Young Adults On The Square Christmas Party

Thu, Dec 11, 2025 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Young Adults on the Square is an exciting monthly event. We will meet on the second Thursday of every month at Boxwood Social Hall on the Marietta square.

It is specifically designed as a community gathering for all young adults interested in great food, making new friends, live music from various local artists, and a compelling biblical message given by different church leaders in the area.

This is a multi-church event. Numerous churches in the area will participate. Meeting at a neutral site rather than a church makes it much easier to invite someone who does not attend church but might be interested in meeting other young adults who do and learning about what Christians believe.

2nd Thursday (Monthly)
6:30 p.m. | Dinner (no charge)
8:00 – 9:00 p.m. | Worship & Teaching

Boxwood Social Hall, Marietta Square
18 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30064

Thanksgiving Day Service

Join us on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. for a special service.

We will take this time to gather as a church family, sing songs of praise to our Savior, and hear powerful testimonies that you don’t want to miss.

Our Thanksgiving worship service will start your holiday off in a great way by giving thanks to our God for who He is and for all His blessings.

Discipleship is at the core of the Christian faith. Without discipleship, Christianity would not exist.

CORE: Next Generation Discipleship specifically focuses on raising up the next generation of leaders in our church. Our hope and prayer is for people to grow in their love and understanding of God, especially the person, work, and ministry of Jesus Christ, and how that impacts every area of our lives.

We will start a new season of CORE on Wednesday, February 19, at 6:00 p.m. in room 229.

*This class offering is for those in their 20s – 40s.*

On Sunday, November 23, we will have our annual congregational meeting at The Church of The Apostles. Given the important nature of this year’s meeting, it will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m., and we will vote to elect five men to serve a three-year term on our Vestry. Ballots will be available from 8:30 to 9:40 a.m. in the main corridor. We will also present the 2026 budget. Please note we will not have our 9:00 a.m. service or classes.

Each of you has the opportunity to nominate members of our church you believe would serve well on our Vestry. As you pray about the nomination, begin by reading 1 Timothy 3:1-13 to give you a clear picture of the type of leader that you should nominate for election to our Vestry.

Please keep in mind that Vestry members must be faithful stewards. Being a faithful steward involves far more than just “tithing.” A godly steward must be a faithful steward of the Word of God, his home, and church ministry.

Of the names that are nominated, the Nominating Committee will prayerfully select ten men for the ballot. On November 23, each church member, 16 years and older, will have the opportunity to vote for five of the ten men nominated for Vestry service.

Children’s Ministry Volunteers Needed!

If you have a heart for teaching God’s Word to the next generation, we hope you’ll consider joining us as a children’s ministry volunteer! We currently need 20 teaching pairs, which can be married couples or friends teaching together (you can sign up individually or with a friend).

If you have questions, please contact Sophie Ekstrom at sophie@apostles.org.

Oasis Grandparenting Event | Thrive

Sunday, September 14 | 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Thrive: Meet Grandchildren’s Core Needs So They Flourish

Grandkids don’t make unwise decisions or misbehave randomly—they’re often communicating unmet heart needs. In this compelling session, Dr. Kathy unpacks the Five Core Needs every child carries: security, identity, belonging, purpose, and competence. When these are met biblically and consistently, children grow spiritually and thrive in character, learning, and relationships. Learn about the influence you can have as you point them to God and your love. You’ll walk away with hope and practical ideas!

Speaker: Kathy Koch, PhD, Founder and CEO of Celebrate Kids, Inc.

Next Wednesday, September 17th, Apostles Worship is releasing their very first single from the upcoming album Psalms. The song is called “Sing Praises to God”, inspired by Psalm 47, and you’ll be able to stream it wherever you listen to music. This song has become a meaningful part of our worship here at Apostles, and we pray it encourages you throughout your week—whether you’re at home, in the car, or spending time alone with the Lord.

Wives of the Word Pop-Up

Saturday, September 20 | 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Marriage has been God’s good idea from the very beginning! Before we flip the page in Genesis, we see God has created us male and female in His image, and it is not good for man to be alone. As we continue to turn the pages of our Bibles, we see that God has a beautiful plan for marriage that is woven throughout Scripture, culminating in the marriage supper of the Lamb. Clearly, God’s perspective on marriage is very important!

And yet, we live in a culture that sends confusing messages. We struggle with our own sin, brokenness, and life’s demands. We long to experience marriage as God has intended, but often we feel something isn’t right. We need to have God’s thoughts and God’s heart for marriage, but it can be challenging to sort through the voices of the world.
Wives of the Word aims to align our hearts with God’s word regarding marriage and to fully trust in the Lord’s mercy, strength, and redemptive power to transform our marriages for His glory and our good.

Join us as we explore what God’s word says to women about the purpose behind marriage, how trusting God can transform our hearts and lives, and how to live out wise principles in practical ways.

Dr. R.T. Kendall is a Christian writer, speaker, and teacher who pastored Westminster Chapel for 25 years. He is the author of more than 60 books, including The Total Forgiveness Trilogy, about forgiving others, forgiving ourselves, and forgiving God.

Patriotic Service

Mark your calendars for our Patriotic Service coming up on Sunday, June 29th! We’ll gather for one service at 10:30 a.m. as we honor our veterans and celebrate God’s blessings on our nation. We’re honored to welcome Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins as our guest speaker!

Adult Bible Classes will meet at 9:00 a.m. We will not have a 9:00 a.m. service or any regularly scheduled activities for children or students. Childcare is available for Kindergarten and under.

Jesus identified Himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. This will guide our focus as we meet for Seasons of the Heart this summer.

We will look at the first eleven chapters of Genesis, the foundation for the rest of scripture. These are probably the most maligned chapters in all of the Bible, yet they are the bedrock of our faith.

Then, we will turn to a timely midpoint of 2 Peter 3 as we observe the ever-present mockery of the return of Jesus. Finally, we will close where God closes with Revelation 21 and 22, the glorious promise of a new heaven and a new earth.

Again this year, we will share a meal, enjoy fellowship, have a teaching time, and “table talk” with some questions to close our evening. Please join us as we deepen our appreciation of the Word and deepen friendships in community around our tables.

Led by Muriel Cash.

Join us during the Summer of 2025 as we pray for and learn more about local ministries faithfully serving our community. We will meet three times throughout the summer.

At our first two gatherings, you’ll learn more about the mission and vision of each Kingdom Builder ministry. At our third meeting, you’ll be able to “minister to the ministries” at a one-day retreat designed to encourage and refresh the hearts of those who serve and those being served by the ministries.

The leadership team is excited to bring a tremendous lineup of Summer Adult Bible Classes to the church this summer. On Sunday, June 1, our Summer Adult Bible Class Launch will be held in Room 229 from 9:00-9:20 a.m. about the new classes. Leaders will give a brief overview of their class, and then classes will start at 9:30 a.m., immediately following the launch.

We pray that through this time of intergenerational fellowship, mentoring relationships might grow and deepen.

On December 13, Apostles Worship released two beautiful Christmas songs: O Come All Ye Faithful and Come Thou Long Expected Jesus. Come Thou Long Expected Jesus features children’s voices from our Children’s and Student Ministries, making this release especially meaningful.

This joyful project has been a fun collaboration with Apostles’ families, and we are excited to share it with you!

On Sunday, November 10 & 17, we invite you to help us collect donations for those in need in Atlanta.

We’re asking for grocery gift card donations and gently used clothing items.

The only thing not accepted are undergarments. The items they are most in need of are sweaters, coats, jackets, etc.

When you arrive at church and park in the parking deck on the drop-off Sundays, please place your donation bag(s) on the ground behind your vehicle for easy pick-up. Someone will pick them up while you are in the service. For gift card donations, there are several secure boxes inside the church where you can donate your gift cards.

We will explore these personal seasons through the lenses of Ecclesiastes and Proverbs and find the much needed wisdom to navigate them, always remembering that “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

Maybe you find yourself readily taking responsibility for others’ feelings and problems. Or perhaps you focus so much on being loving and unselfish that you’ve forgotten your own limits and limitations. Or maybe it’s all the above.

Using the best-selling book Boundaries as a framework, our own board-certified Christian counselor, Bruce Cerbone, will lead this co-ed session to help you learn when to say yes and know how to say no in order to take control of your life and set healthy, biblical boundaries with your spouse, children, friends, parents, co-workers…and even yourself. Each session will feature teaching, discussion, and prayer.

Sunday, April 14 | 12:15 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Grandparents can consistently use strategic power words to efficiently and effectively direct grandchildren’s thinking, beliefs, choices, character, attitudes, and behavior. Using these power words will increase cooperation and obedience, decrease frustration and arguments, and build healthier grandparent-child relationships. Curious? You’ll have to attend to hear some of Dr. Kathy’s favorites. You will not be disappointed.

Includes lunch.

Altar Flowers

The alter flowers are placed in loving memory of John Gillespie by his widow, Vicki Gillespie.

In honor of: Isaac Nolan
Love: David, Lauren, and Graeme Nolan (Dad, Mama, and Big Brother)

Tomorrow, our family will be celebrating our second born son Isaac Andrew Nolan on what would be his 2nd birthday. In our GriefShare class back in the fall of 2023, we learned the priceless concept of him being “timeless in eternity.” While our hearts endure the constraints of earthly time, pain, and heartache, our son is already experiencing perfect, eternal life with our Heavenly Father, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We are incredibly grateful for this truth, no matter how difficult it is to grasp at times. We pray that our suffering ultimately brings God glory for His goodness, His provision, His closeness, His salvation plan, and His Kingship.

Happy birthday to our baby boy. We love you.
