Dear Apostles Family,

One of the things that impressed me most about our church when our family first began coming was how finances and giving pledges by members were handled.  Using anonymous pledge cards and reinforcing giving to the church as a matter of the heart between church members and God is both Biblical and a refreshing approach.

We trust that as long as we are faithful in doing the Lord’s work, He will provide for our church’s operational needs and costs as we share and live out the good news of the Gospel.  He uses the faithful giving of His people to accomplish that.  As you could see from the information shared at the annual congregational meeting, we have been blessed financially with resources to continue the church’s mission of “reaching the lost and equipping the saints for the work of ministry.”

It’s time for each of us to prayerfully consider what commitment we can make to funding the church’s budget for 2024.  This is a great opportunity for every member and family to seriously examine their finances and align with scriptural guidance in our giving to the church.  There is no endowment that provides for our church’s financial needs – each year our work is funded by the faithful giving of our members.  I encourage each of us not to miss out on the blessings and joy of generous and liberal giving to the Lord’s work.  God doesn’t need our money – He “owns the cattle on a thousand hills,” as everything already belongs to Him.  But He allows us to be part of His work in many ways, including giving to the church from what He has provided us.

On Sunday, December 10th, we will collect the pledge cards at the end of the service. If you cannot attend that Sunday, please take the time to either mail in your card or submit it online. This helps our church administrative team properly plan for the months ahead. If you have any questions about this process, please contact any of the church staff or me.

We continue to pray that God will provide all we need to do His work, that we are good stewards of what He provides, and that you will join us in prayer and financial support.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows” (Malachi 3:10).

Blessings,

Chip Brookhart
