My beloved friends,
In 312 A.D. the Emperor Constantine made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. A century later, after the Empire fell, this religious conversion became a scapegoat, leading to great persecution of the Church.
How little things change. As the coronavirus outbreak continues, there has been blame cast upon the modern Church, and suggestions that churches should remain shuttered. We know that our God is sovereign, however, and can rest in the knowledge that while we are living in the kingdom of earth physically, we are serving in and representing the Kingdom of God in our day-to-day life and interactions.
We encourage you to tune in this Sunday for both a continuation of the ongoing Adult Bible Class at 9:00 a.m., as well as the 10:30 a.m. worship service. This week I will be bringing a message entitled “What Would Jesus Say About the Crisis?”
We will be streaming from The Church of The Apostles website as well as Facebook.
We invite you to worship with us in your homes from around the city and around the world, and look forward to the day when we can meet together in person!
May the Lord continue to make His presence known to you in many ways that will comfort your heart during this time.
In His Service,
Michael Youssef, Ph. D.
Founding Rector
