Serve Our Community

The following Christ-centered ministries offer volunteer opportunities. Many also accept in-kind donations (clothing, diapers, school supplies, etc.). Please feel free to reach out to the ministry directly to see how you can use your time and gifts to serve others.

Atlanta Mission

Atlanta Mission provides emergency shelter, rehab and recovery services, vocational training, services, and transitional housing for homeless men, women, and children.

Opportunities: Variety of service opportunities for individuals or groups from serving meals to working at the thrift store. Also receive in-kind donations of clothing, hygiene supplies, etc.

Atlanta Youth Academy exists to advance the Kingdom of God by offering an excellent Christ-centered education to low-income urban communities.

Opportunities: Mentoring, reading, after-school programming, and events.

Atlanta Youth Project presents Jesus Christ to urban youth and offers discipleship. We provide safe, easy access for volunteers wishing to serve in the inner city.

Beyond Brokenness

Beyond Brokenness is all about helping single moms and widows with their tough times, emotionally, spiritually, and around the home.  Our hope is not just to fix things for today, but to have a generational impact.

Buckhead Christian Ministry

Buckhead Christian Ministry seeks to prevent homelessness for individuals and families in crisis through the provision of food, clothing, financial assistance, and life skills education

Opportunities: Variety of service roles that can be completed virtually or in-person.

City of Refuge

City of Refuge is a faith-based environment that helps individuals and families transition out of crisis. Our process (get stable, learn new skills, and thrive in community) takes place under one roof in the most dangerous zip code in Atlanta.

Opportunities: Variety of daily service opportunities for individuals or groups from nursery or pre-school help to kitchen service, to after-school programs, etc. Virtual volunteering is available as well.

First Care Women’s Clinic

First Care Women’s Clinic, formally Cobb Pregnancy Services, is a Christian non-profit pro-life organization that assists women and men who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies offering them positive alternatives other than abortion through practical, emotional, and spiritual support.

Opportunities: Assist with clothing/diaper drives, prayer teams, new mother gift bags, or client assistance.

Elite Women of Excellence

Elite Women of Excellence aims to unleash the full potential of teenage girls to make wise decisions as they stand on principles, passion, and purpose. EWOE helps girls evaluate, prepare, and set goals for relationships, sexual behaviors, family formation, and future economic stability. 

Opportunities: Volunteering with EWOE can be as simple as facilitating or leading a single session or as committed as regularly sharing your skills and talents as a group coordinator.

From Lamb to Lion

From Lamb to Lion provides support after abortion. People who have been impacted by abortion often face isolation and a lack of validation that their feelings surrounding their abortion experience are real. We don’t judge or condemn. We meet them where they are, validate their feelings, and help them find the healing they deserve.

Opportunities: Offer support to those suffering by phone, text, or email. Work our event booths or offer administrative support remotely.

Frontline Response

Frontline Response rescues and restores victims of sex trafficking and homelessness while offering weekly prevention programs to help at-risk children avoid common societal pitfalls into illegal and unhealthy lifestyles.

Opportunities: Serve in the areas of prevention (legacy kids), compassion (homelessness), or anti-sex-trafficking (out of darkness).

Gilgal, Inc.

Gilgal, Inc. educates, equips, and empowers women to embrace a future free of drugs/alcohol, utilizing their fullest potential in a God-honoring way through day treatments, counseling, and life skills development.

Opportunities: Bring a meal, host a fun activity, or help us meet daily needs by organizing a collection drive (food, school supplies, office items, paper goods and cleaning products). Technical and landscaping needs as well.

Hope Center equips pregnant women to choose life. We want everyone all generations and cultures to encounter Christ’s love and grace, leading them to recognize God or deepen their relationship with Him.

Opportunities: Whether it’s using your administrative skills, encouraging clients, praying, sorting bottles, or working at our thrift center – there are many ways to serve.

Hope Works

Hope Works committed and compassionate family of partners and volunteers bring Caring Hearts & Helping Hands to low-income widows and at-risk fatherless youth in the city of Atlanta.

Opportunities: Raking leaves, painting the exterior of a widow’s home, or building an accessibility ramp are examples of ways our volunteers provide kind acts of service for our widows.

House of Cherith offers safe housing and supportive services where women can recover from the trauma of sexual exploitation.

Opportunities: Volunteers can cook meals, share devotions, offer craft time, tea parties, cookie decorating, life skills classes such as time management or financial literacy.

Human Coalition Atlanta

Human Coalition Atlanta is an urban outreach committed to reaching unplanned pregnant mothers and fathers, and those who think they might be expectant, with counseling and support in an environment of Christian love, including a presentation of the hope and forgiveness of the Gospel.

Opportunities: Ways to serve include direct care to women, mentoring, clerical or marketing help, and serving at events.

Kidz2Leaders

Kidz2Leaders provides stability, opportunity, and a Christian community for children of inmates to break the cycle of incarceration. Programming includes week-long camps, year-round events and family retreats, customized family support, internships, professional development, and ongoing community.

Opportunities: Serve at one-day events, weekend retreats, or week-long camps. You can also be a mentor or business coach, offer transportation, hold a supply drive, or bring a meal.

The Love of Giving, Inc.

The Love of Giving, Inc. feeds thousands of people each week, including food insecure families, the homeless population in Atlanta and surrounding areas. The Love of Giving also donates much-needed clothing and toiletries to those in need.

Saving Susan is elevating care of the orphaned and abandoned in developing countries through local Christian partnerships. We partner each child with a loving Christian family, enrich their education, and support them holistically on their path to fulfilling God’s will for their lives.

Table on Delk

Table on Delk provides a safe place for those living in hotels off Delk Road who are currently, or at risk of, being sexually exploited. We provide meals and connect those we serve to other local resources. As we serve, we are an on ramp to other ministries seeking to rescue and restore these victims.

Opportunities: Volunteers can serve by preparing food and treats or helping us in serving meals and showing our guests the Father’s love. We also need help decorating placemats and sack lunches.
