I have attended The Church of the Apostles for 30 years. My husband Steve and I met through an Apostles small group for singles, and I worked on staff in the children’s ministry at COTA before staying home to raise my four children, all of whom we brought up here in the children’s ministry. I participated in Sunday School, VBS, back-yard Bible clubs, and Mom2Mom.
Throughout my years at Apostles, I have been involved in adult Sunday Schools, small groups, and women’s Bible studies. I have taught several classes, including a study I compiled for women entitled, “Wives of The Word.” I have a heart to see God transform marriages and families, all for His glory.
For the past six years, I have been working for Kidz2Leaders, a local ministry serving children impacted by parental incarceration. I have learned much about both the devastating effects of brokenness in the home and the power of God to bring healing and hope in the most difficult situations.
And as a mom of adult children, I have learned the importance of knowing God deeply and trusting Him with every stage of our children’s lives. My heart’s desire is to equip parents and children with a knowledge of God and His Word, thereby shaping their hearts and minds so they might walk in all His ways.
I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia, an M.S. in Community Counseling from Georgia State University and a certificate in Christian counseling from Richmond Graduate University (f/k/a Psychological Studies Institute).
