SERVE SOMEONE • INVITE SOMEONE
“Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” Romans 12:13
Throughout the holiday season, we want to help our church family recognize that serving and inviting are both expressions of hospitality. Sometimes hospitality looks like purchasing a gift, packing a shoebox, wrapping presents, or meeting a practical need. Other times, it looks like making room for someone in your life—extending a personal invitation, welcoming them to church, or walking alongside them as they explore faith.
Our hope is that everyone in our church will find a way to participate.
Not everyone will serve in the same way.
Not everyone will invite the same person.
But together, we can open our hands, our lives, and our church to others this season.
Serve Someone
God has given each of you unique gifts, and this season is a great time to use them to serve others. You could donate items, sponsor a child, pack gifts, or simply offer a warm smile and a word of encouragement to someone who needs to feel welcome.
Here are some ways you can get involved and serve people in our city and around the world.
Invite Someone
The holidays are a season of serving and giving, and one of the most meaningful ways to serve is to invite someone to church.
Who is God prompting you to invite?
Think about the people already in your life: friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. You may know someone who feels disconnected from church, is curious about faith, or is simply looking for community. Your personal invitation could be their first step.
These upcoming events and sermon series are great opportunities to bring someone with you.
