Young Adults on the Square is an exciting monthly event. We will meet on the second Thursday of every month at The Brickyard — our NEW LOCATION just off the Marietta Square (129 Church St, Marietta, GA 30060).
This gathering is designed for young adults who enjoy great food, making new friends, hearing live music from local artists, and engaging with a compelling biblical message shared by different church leaders in the area.
This is a multi‑church event, with several local churches participating. Meeting at a neutral location rather than a church makes it much easier to invite someone who may not attend church but is interested in connecting with other young adults and learning more about what Christians believe.

On Sunday, November 15, we will have our annual congregational meeting at The Church of The Apostles. It will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m., and we will vote to elect five men to serve a three-year term on our Vestry. Ballots will be available from 8:30 to 10:10 a.m. in the main corridor. We will also present the 2027 budget.
The Vestry election will be held within the first five minutes of the meeting, so it is imperative that you arrive early if you wish to cast your vote.
Please note that we will still have the 9:00 a.m. service, as well as all regular classes and ministries before the meeting.

It reaches into marriages, busy families, full calendars, and crowded pews. Many of us carry a quiet ache to be truly known and to belong, and we rarely say it out loud.
Into the Light: A Place at the Table is an evening to bring that ache into the open and to find the belonging God offers us in Christ and through His people.

Our Thanksgiving worship service will start your holiday off in a great way by giving thanks to our God for who He is and for all His blessings.
No childcare will be provided for this service; instead, please join us with your children/grandchildren in the Sanctuary.

Waiting is part of every life. We wait for answers, for healing, for change, and for God to move. This Advent, join us for The Waiting Ones, a five-part series about people in Scripture who longed for the coming Messiah.
Through the stories of Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and Simeon, we’ll see how God meets ordinary people in their uncertainty and leads them to wonder and worship. As we prepare to celebrate Jesus’ birth this Christmas, we’ll find our own seasons of waiting in their stories and discover that God is present with us in the waiting, too.

As part of our Advent series, The Waiting Ones, we’ll turn our attention to the shepherds, ordinary people who received extraordinary news in the darkness of night. Their story invites us to step into the wonder of Christ’s arrival and the hope that breaks into our waiting. Join us as we welcome the light of Christmas together.

STS Village Nights // June 28
We’re excited to kick off Village Nights, happening every other Sunday from 6–8 PM this summer! They will be fun, relaxed evenings for students who have completed 6th–12th grades to connect and enjoy time together.
We’ll have volleyball, pizza, drinks, and other games like cornhole and spike ball. It’s a great opportunity for students to build friendships and be part of our community in a low-pressure, fun environment.
Kingdom Builders 2026 // June 28
Join us during the Summer of 2026 as we pray for and learn more about local ministries faithfully serving our community. We will meet three times throughout the summer on June 7, June 28, and July 9. At our first two gatherings, you’ll learn more about the mission and vision of each Kingdom Builder ministry. At our third meeting, you’ll be able to “minister to the ministries” at a one-day retreat designed to encourage and refresh the hearts of those who serve and those being served by the ministries.

Discerning the Seasons

In what is referred to as the Olivet Discourse in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, Jesus gave a clear picture of the last days. When asked what would be the sign of His coming and the end of the age, He warned, “See that no one leads you astray.” These last days are marked by deception. We see this all around us.
In the four sessions of Seasons of the Heart, we will focus on His Word to equip us with Truth and increase our discernment. Our guards against deception are doctrine (His Word) and discernment (His Spirit). Both give us the ability to see clearly the tactics of our enemy, Satan.
Our first session will focus on the fundamentals of The Faith and the book of Jude. The following sessions will guide us through scriptures that will equip us to see and thwart the lies of our enemy.
Our table times at the end will allow us to share insights and encourage one another. Please join us for a meal, fellowship, and personal preparation to live as lights in these last days.

Everyday Witness // July 12
Every Christian is called to be a witness – but for many of us, that can feel intimidating, awkward, or difficult to know where to begin.
This one-off seminar is designed to help us take simple, practical steps toward sharing our faith through genuine relationships and everyday conversations. We’ll spend time exploring how to live lives that naturally point people to Jesus, how to start spiritual conversations, how to share your own story with confidence, and how to recognize opportunities God may already be placing in front of you.
You will walk away with clarity about the evangelism pathway at Apostles and be encouraged that God continues to work through ordinary believers, ordinary conversations, and ordinary acts of faithfulness.

May 2026 Leadership Transition
On November 23, 2025, with a heart of gratitude, Dr. Michael Youssef announced that after 39 years as Senior Pastor of The Church of The Apostles, he plans to enter a new season of ministry and transition the role of Senior Pastor to Dr. Jonathan Youssef.
He shared that over the previous year, a group of faithful church leaders joined him in prayer, seeking God’s will for the next chapter at Apostles. Throughout that time of discernment, God gave them clarity, peace, unity, and confirmation.

In difficult situations and relationships, discerning a Christlike response can feel complicated.
How do we set boundaries that honor God, reflect His love, and help us build healthy relationships—while also protecting our own emotional and spiritual well-being? It’s a tall order, but it’s a conversation worth having.
At this year’s Winter Retreat, Love One Another: Doing Boundaries God’s Way, we’ll begin that conversation through three teaching sessions led by our very own Jeanine Dungan. We’ll also enjoy a fun game night, meaningful times of fellowship, and small-group discussions as we process and apply what we’re learning together.

Grieving the loss of a loved one, whether recently or in the past, is an emotionally wrenching experience.
With over 25 years of helping people find comfort, GriefShare is a safe and welcoming place where the difficult emotions of grief can be shared and eventually understood.
During this 13-week support group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what “normal” looks like when experiencing grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, through encouraging videos and small group discussions, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support for each step of the way.

Annual Congregational Meeting // November 23
On Sunday, November 23, we will have our annual congregational meeting at The Church of The Apostles. Given the important nature of this year’s meeting, it will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m., and we will vote to elect five men to serve a three-year term on our Vestry. Ballots will be available from 8:30 to 9:40 a.m. in the main corridor. We will also present the 2026 budget. Please note we will not have our 9:00 a.m. service or classes.
Each of you has the opportunity to nominate members of our church you believe would serve well on our Vestry. As you pray about the nomination, begin by reading 1 Timothy 3:1-13 to give you a clear picture of the type of leader that you should nominate for election to our Vestry.
Please keep in mind that Vestry members must be faithful stewards. Being a faithful steward involves far more than just “tithing.” A godly steward must be a faithful steward of the Word of God, his home, and church ministry.
Of the names that are nominated, the Nominating Committee will prayerfully select ten men for the ballot. On November 23, each church member, 16 years and older, will have the opportunity to vote for five of the ten men nominated for Vestry service.
Children’s Ministry Volunteers Needed
If you have a heart for teaching God’s Word to the next generation, we hope you’ll consider joining us as a children’s ministry volunteer! We currently need 20 teaching pairs, which can be married couples or friends teaching together (you can sign up individually or with a friend).

Sing Praises to God Song Release // September 17
Next Wednesday, September 17th, Apostles Worship is releasing their very first single from the upcoming album Psalms. The song is called “Sing Praises to God”, inspired by Psalm 47, and you’ll be able to stream it wherever you listen to music. This song has become a meaningful part of our worship here at Apostles, and we pray it encourages you throughout your week—whether you’re at home, in the car, or spending time alone with the Lord.
Wives of the Word Pop-Up // September 20
Marriage has been God’s good idea from the very beginning! Before we flip the page in Genesis, we see God has created us male and female in His image, and it is not good for man to be alone. As we continue to turn the pages of our Bibles, we see that God has a beautiful plan for marriage that is woven throughout Scripture, culminating in the marriage supper of the Lamb. Clearly, God’s perspective on marriage is very important!
And yet, we live in a culture that sends confusing messages. We struggle with our own sin, brokenness, and life’s demands. We long to experience marriage as God has intended, but often we feel something isn’t right. We need to have God’s thoughts and God’s heart for marriage, but it can be challenging to sort through the voices of the world.
Wives of the Word aims to align our hearts with God’s word regarding marriage and to fully trust in the Lord’s mercy, strength, and redemptive power to transform our marriages for His glory and our good.

Grandparenting Matters Summer ABC Class // Begins July 27

Join us for the updated Grandparenting Matters virtual seminar and discover how to become an intentional Christian grandparent. Be inspired and equipped, and learn how to overcome grandparenting obstacles (such as distance, divorce, and parents who would rather not discuss Jesus). Together, let’s build a legacy of faith for the coming generations.
This session will include video teaching and table discussion. The Grandparenting Team will facilitate it. Workbooks will be available in class for $10 each.

Patriotic Service // June 29
Mark your calendars for our Patriotic Service coming up on Sunday, June 29th! We’ll gather for one service at 10:30 a.m. as we honor our veterans and celebrate God’s blessings on our nation. We’re honored to welcome Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins as our guest speaker!
Adult Bible Classes will meet at 9:00 a.m. We will not have a 9:00 a.m. service or any regularly scheduled activities for children or students. Childcare is available for Kindergarten and under.
Seasons of the Heart 2025 // June 3
Jesus identified Himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. This will guide our focus as we meet for Seasons of the Heart this summer.
We will look at the first eleven chapters of Genesis, the foundation for the rest of scripture. These are probably the most maligned chapters in all of the Bible, yet they are the bedrock of our faith.
Then, we will turn to a timely midpoint of 2 Peter 3 as we observe the ever-present mockery of the return of Jesus. Finally, we will close where God closes with Revelation 21 and 22, the glorious promise of a new heaven and a new earth.
Again this year, we will share a meal, enjoy fellowship, have a teaching time, and “table talk” with some questions to close our evening. Please join us as we deepen our appreciation of the Word and deepen friendships in community around our tables.

Women’s Kingdom Builders // June 5
Join us during the Summer of 2025 as we pray for and learn more about local ministries faithfully serving our community. We will meet three times throughout the summer.
At our first two gatherings, you’ll learn more about the mission and vision of each Kingdom Builder ministry. At our third meeting, you’ll be able to “minister to the ministries” at a one-day retreat designed to encourage and refresh the hearts of those who serve and those being served by the ministries.
Genuine Wisdom Spring Gathering // May 15
Join us for our Spring gathering of Genuine Wisdom. We will gather at the home of Elise Wilkes for an evening of dinner, fellowship, and a time of testimony.
Genuine Wisdom is a gathering of young women (20s/30s/early 40s) to meet with older mentors. It is a place and time set aside for women to share life, be encouraged, and be inspired for the day-to-day journey of imitating Jesus well. We strive to accomplish this purpose by meeting quarterly and encouraging women to build relationships beyond our quarterly meetings. We pray that through this time of intergenerational fellowship, mentoring relationships might grow and deepen.

Join us at the beautiful Callaway Resort & Gardens for a weekend of spiritual sharpening, mentoring, and relational growth. With 100 men expected at this event, we’ll dive into challenging topics, learn from God’s Word, and encourage one another as we grow in our faith.
Apostles Worship Christmas Music // Out Now
On December 13, Apostles Worship released two beautiful Christmas songs: O Come All Ye Faithful and Come Thou Long Expected Jesus. Come Thou Long Expected Jesus features children’s voices from our Children’s and Student Ministries, making this release especially meaningful.
This joyful project has been a fun collaboration with Apostles’ families, and we are excited to share it with you!
The Big Give // November 10 & 17
On Sunday, November 10 & 17, we invite you to help us collect donations for those in need in Atlanta.
We’re asking for grocery gift card donations and gently used clothing items.
The only thing not accepted are undergarments. The items they are most in need of are sweaters, coats, jackets, etc.
When you arrive at church and park in the parking deck on the drop-off Sundays, please place your donation bag(s) on the ground behind your vehicle for easy pick-up. Someone will pick them up while you are in the service. For gift card donations, there are several secure boxes inside the church where you can donate your gift cards.

Join us at The Church of The Apostles for Christianity Examined, which includes truth presentations about Jesus Christ, small group interaction, and complimentary dinner for guests. We will meet in room 229 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Seasons of the Heart // Begins June 4
When you think of “seasons” what comes to mind? Obviously, we view the changing of nature around us, but do we give much thought to the changing seasons of our own lives? We will explore these personal seasons through the lenses of Ecclesiastes and Proverbs and find the much needed wisdom to navigate them, always remembering that “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Join us for dinner and fellowship around the tables, a time of teaching followed by personal journaling of your insights, reflections, prayers. This is your night to cloister away from the world. Together, we will ask the Lord to “teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).

Women’s Ministry Overview of Boundaries
Join this 4-week short course for Women led by Jeanine Dungan. She will be presenting biblical principles of healthy relationships.
The cost of the course does not include the book. You will have the opportunity to purchase the Boundaries book and workbook at the class.

Boundaries Class // April 16
Does your life feel like it’s out of control? Perhaps you feel like you have to say yes to everyone’s requests. Maybe you find yourself readily taking responsibility for others’ feelings and problems. Or perhaps you focus so much on being loving and unselfish that you’ve forgotten your own limits and limitations. Or maybe it’s all the above.
Using the best-selling book Boundaries as a framework, our own board-certified Christian counselor, Bruce Cerbone, will lead this co-ed session to help you learn when to say yes and know how to say no in order to take control of your life and set healthy, biblical boundaries with your spouse, children, friends, parents, co-workers…and even yourself. Each session will feature teaching, discussion, and prayer.

The Global Campaigns team is hiring multiple administrative positions to assist in the implementation of domestic and international Celebration events. A member of the core Operations team, these positions provide support to team members through expense reports, travel, mailings, editing, executive assistant duties, and other projects as assigned.
The Ministry Services Specialist is a vital member of the Ministry Services team, responsible for ensuring precise inventory control, accurate accounts receivable transactions, and excellent customer service for both domestic and international supporters. The right person for this role will be uniquely gifted to enjoy detailed data entry processes.

Today marks one year since we delivered our second born son Isaac Andrew Nolan (8 lb 15 oz, 22.75″ long). On July 14, 2023 at 1:15 p.m., he was born asleep and already at peace playing at Jesus’ feet in heaven.
We feel that God gave Isaac’s father David the name “Isaac” years prior to prepare our hearts for the moment when we would learn of his loss in utero, full-term at 41 weeks of gestation. Because Isaac’s name means “the one who laughs and rejoices,” we see it as a gift of comfort from the Lord who ordained for us to know that our son’s very first sight was Jesus’ face, full of laughter and joy. As a result, we associate our boy with giggles, cheer, play, dancing, light-heartedness, and eternal worship of our heavenly Father, the likes of which we cannot fathom here on Earth.
We weep, we ache, we pray, we praise, we wrestle, we question, we marvel, and we mourn, but ultimately we trust the Lord in all things.
Our beautiful son is happy and peaceful, while praising our Father for eternity. We yearn for the day when we will be right there with him, taking in our Savior in all His Glory. These cheerful, yellow flowers signify both our remembrance of Isaac and our confidence in God’s promise to believers. Family, friends, prayer warriors, and spiritual leaders, know that the Nolans believe fervently in the goodness of God, and we invite you into that posture with us. Lord, please accept the tears that we shed today as our sincere worship of You.
